Default Scariest movie + book?

Hey there, I'm wondering what scary movies or books you've seen/read. I kind of want to try seeing/reading new things. Any movie with zombies always scare me =\ Also the hellraiser movies for some reason.
Books are usually scarier than movies sometimes. So please post any scary movie or book please!

Movie: The Shining , well, it didnt give me any nightmares, but this part still gives me creep today:

«Hello Dany»
«Come play with us»
*Hallucination*
«Come play with us, for ever(halucination), and ever, and ever(hallucination)»

Creepy twins

Ju-On gave me nightmare over 2 years, ya the story might be bad, but seriously, they really focused to make you scream.

Book: hmmmm Salem from Stephen King.

That movie about 3 hookers and their mom, watsitcall...sex and the city, i think. The one that has a foot for a face is well creepy, gave me a nightmare.

Also go play Bioshock.
But for movies this new Quarantine movie looks nasty. I can't really think of any books.

28 days is good, so is the exorcist.
Are you willing to read a comic? If yes try Uzumaki. It is one of the most creepy things I have ever read in my life. Spirals will make your skin crawl for months after reading it.

Damn you for bringing that book up...I read it...the story isn't great but something about it gets under your skin.
Every time I see that book in the bookstore a chill goes down my spine.

The Grudge (Ju-on, the japanese version), Ringu, and Shutter (Thai version as someone corrected) are the scariest movies on earth. The japanese version of One Missed Call is also screwed up on many levels. In general, Japanese horror is beyond scary....

As for books:

Dante's Inferno is pretty creepy if you are religious. As for creepy with a shade of realism, Hot Zone does that for me (Ebola is one screwed up virus). The Birds by Hitchcock freaks me out as well.

As for downright scary books: The Exorcist, The Haunting of Hill House, and anything from Poe are just downright CREEPY.

As for video games: Resident Evil 1, 2, and 0 freak me out every time. F.E.A.R is creepy as hell the 1st time through, as is Eternal Darkness on Gamecube. Oh, and the Silent Hill series...

Scariest movies would be: Dark Water, Alien and Blair Witch. As for books, Stephen King`s "IT" is still the scariest i`ve ever read, although Dan Simmons got damn scary with "Song of Kali", "Summer of Night" and few others.

"It" and "The Blair Witch Project" (onyl 1st part) were creepy a bit. So was "Jesus Camp", but in a totally different way.

The Shining. The chipmunk blowjob still creeps me right the hell out even to this day.

@FEAR: it took my like five playthroughs not to be *as* freaked out as I was near the day I bought. RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO those vents!!!

Still a great game though, one of the best.
